The WZ-551 IFV is also known as
Type 90 and is China's latest wheeled armoured vehicle. The WZ-551

on the Tiema heavylift truck chassis and a German diesel engine.
The vehicle is fully amphibious and is propelled in the water
by two shrouded propellers mounted on either side under the rear.
It is manned by a crew of three (driver, commander, gunner). It
can carry 9 infantry soldiers in the troop compartment in the
rear. The vehicle is fitted with a fire supression system and
has a NBC protection. This variant, the WZ-551 IFV (6x6), is fitted
with a 25 mm cannon and a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun.
